This
is my gardening philosophy for designing your garden:
"No
one else can see the world the way you see it."No one
else has access to the world you carry around within yourself;
you are its custodian and entrance. No one else can see
the world the way you see it. No one else can feel your
life the way you feel it. Thus it is impossible to ever
compare two people because each stands on such different
ground."
"Rilke
said, in turbulent times you should endeavor to stay close
to one simple thing in nature. And I think everyone, no
matter where they live, should have some place in nature
that they go to. When you are truly present in landscape
you know afterwards that something has shifted within you
or some burden has fallen."
~John
O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom
Take
thy plastic spade,
It is thy pencil; take thy seeds, thy plants,
They are thy colours.
~William Mason, The English Garden, 1782
